David Arquette admits his relationship with new girlfriend Christina McLarty is very ''honest'' as they talk to each about everything.

David Arquette's relationship with his new girlfriend Christina McLarty is very "honest".

The 'Scream 4' actor - who split from estranged wife Courteney Cox last October - is really enjoying his new romance with the news reporter, especially as they can speak to each other about anything.

He told People: "I'm very honest with her about myself and what I'm doing. It's going well. It's going well."

David - who is currently competing in 'Dancing with the Stars' - also revealed he and former 'Friends' star Courteney have now entered the "friend zone", something which is not easy for either of them.

He told 'Access Hollywood': "We're pretty much in the friend zone. Though we love each other and we love to laugh and have a great time, it's difficult."

The former couple have also made sure that their seven-year-old daughter Coco is aware of the state of their relationship.

He said: "Kids know everything - they know a lot. They feel it, they sense it. I was really honest with her throughout the whole experience. There's not much we don't communicate about."

On 'Dancing with the Stars' on Monday night (03.10.11), David dedicated his rumba which he danced to 'Ooh Child' - which was originally recorded in 1970 by the Five Stairsteps - to little Coco as she has helped him get through the pain of the past year.

He explained: "The voice in the song is me speaking to my daughter...Life is about love and not giving into fear so to dance the dance of love is the perfect way to tell this story."
